## Victorian terrace, Cheetham Hill

Slim-fit straight stairlift fitted on a 68cm-wide staircase. Family was told by two national fitters that the stairs were too narrow.

After survey we recommended an Acorn slim-fit model with an outside-mounted rail, freeing an extra 8cm. Fitted in 2.5 hours; the customer's husband still walks up the stairs alongside her each evening.

## Half-landing semi, Worsley

Two-flight semi where the obvious choice was a curved lift at £5,200.

We suggested two straight lifts (one per flight, £2,800 in total) with a small standing transfer at the half-landing. Customer saved £2,400 and gets the same independence.

## Mill apartment, Northern Quarter

Reconditioned curved stairlift fitted on a tight spiral in a converted mill flat.

Custom rail manufactured in 14 days, fitted in a single morning. The lift now handles the spiral safely at a slow constant speed.
