After a free home survey we give a fixed written quote with no upselling. The rail itself is always brand new, custom-built to **BS EN 81-40**. Only the seat motor unit is reconditioned — fully stripped, tested, rebuilt with new batteries and brake pads, and bench-tested before fitting. You get the same 12-month parts-and-labour warranty as our reconditioned straight lifts, with optional extended warranty plans. This is the right route for most curved staircases where the savings (often £1,000–£2,000 versus new) matter more than the longer manufacturer warranty.
