Frequently asked questions

Is the rail second-hand?

No — every curved rail is brand new and built for your staircase. Only the seat motor unit is reconditioned.

How much can I save versus new?

Every reconditioned curved install is bespoke — we give a fixed written quote after survey. Savings typically run £1,000–£2,000 versus new.

What warranty do I get?

12 months parts and labour as standard. Optional extended warranty plans available.

Reconditioned curved stairlifts — bespoke fit, fraction of the cost

A reconditioned curved stairlift gives you exactly the same custom-fit experience as a brand-new curved lift — the rail is built to your staircase, the swivel is powered, and the install is a half-day job — at typically 40–50% less than new. Every install is genuinely bespoke, which is why we don't publish a headline price: the rail length, number of bends, mounting side and seat unit all affect the figure. After a free home survey we give a fixed written quote with no upselling.

The rail itself is always brand new, custom-built to BS EN 81-40. Only the seat motor unit is reconditioned — fully stripped, tested, rebuilt with new batteries and brake pads, and bench-tested before fitting. You get the same 12-month parts-and-labour warranty as our reconditioned straight lifts, with optional extended warranty plans.

This is the right route for most curved staircases where the savings (often £1,000–£2,000 versus new) matter more than the longer manufacturer warranty. For long-life curved installs in a forever home, new often still wins on lifetime cost — the trade-off is laid out in the reconditioned vs new guide.

We fit across every Salford postcode and Greater Manchester — see Worsley, Eccles and Swinton. Book a free home survey for a bespoke quote.
